Kinabatangan River Trip

The journey up the Kinabatangan River was a great adventure.  The river is over 500 km. long and is the 3rd longest river in Borneo.  Surprisingly, there are few villages, and most of the river is pristine wildlife habitat.  We did not get to see the crocodiles, but almost everything else.  The proboscis monkeys were everywhere and we got some good pics and video.

We overnighted at the Kinabatangan River Lodge and returned to Sandakan the next morning.  Then onto Kota Kinabalu to start the long flight home.
